Integrate with SmartLife / Tuya (https://www.tuya.com/) devices.
The SmartLife / Tuya apps controls a huge variety of devices from several brands, and it would be great to control these devices directly from Flic buttons.
IFTTT used to be able to control Smartlife Devices, but that seems to have been broken for months now.
Scene activation is available through IFTTT, but the delay is incredibly long and requires creating a scene to turn devices on and then for turning them off. for EACH device.

If this happens I will almost certainly get a bunch of these buttons immediately.
This is a great idea.

Maybe they don't care because their sales rate is big enough already or maybe they are about to go bankrupt. Maybe we should warn potential buyers on TrustPilot?

It seems the only thing we're guaranteed from Flic on this is total silence.

This and Alexa Routines are the only think stopping me from dropping serious cash on this platform :(

It's painful how quiet Flic are on this subject, and can't believe they're not seeing it.
Coupled with total lack of (promised) HomeKit support am starting to get concerned my beloved Flic buttons are going to be landfill.

I agree.
A simple connection with smart life Would solve my problem.
As for now IFTTT Is ok and I can live with the delay as long as it is free, but it is not worth a payed plan I my book.
I have several smart plugs that will soon be outdated with the ifttt change.
Get with the program flic. -

I really encourage the Flic team to find a way to add support for the Flic Buttons directly in Tuya/SmartLife. IFTTT sucks and I'd much prefer to put my money in more Flic buttons than having to pay IFTTT a monthly fee for using their service. I miss the Flic teams comments on this. It must be in their clear interest to potentially raisen their revenue by selling more Flics and having satisfied custumers. Get into the fight Flic!

I would love to see that integration ASAP. IFTTT has just introduced payed plans which forces everyone to pay if you want to have Flics controlling your Tuya/Smart Life devices. Free version only allows 3 applets, which is an equivalent of mapping of one flic button.

Am so relieved that Brilliant have saved the day for me at least, means I don't have to replace tons of products and lose the whole point of my Flics.
Am going to email them and give thanks for allowing us to use their app and IFTTT subscription for free.
Still would be nice if Flic could work with SmartLife to make all of this native.

In the video posted it made the point that the IFTTT through brilliant will continue. I emailed them as well and this has been confirmed. Funnily after all this searching, The Brilliant factory, who have solved our issue is about 5km from my house.

Tuya is the backend, but different companies are able to request a reskinned app (using hte Tuya backend) to control their devices. There dozens of apps all using the Tuya backend. Each company also has to pay for IFTTT (not Tuya) if they want it. SmartLife decided to stop, but Brilliant Smart is continuing support. Brilliant is an Australian company and by law they aren't able to discontinue the service as it was advertised as a part of the item. So we may be ok (for a time).
This is my backup https://community.apilio.com/t/we-are-working-on-enabling-smart-life-tuya-through-apilio/775
Basically you will be able to go Flic > IFTTT > Apilio > SmartlifeHonestly, we may be more are risk of Flic pulling IFTTT support like Smartlife did. Sounds like IFTTT is dramatically raising their costs which is why many companies are starting to pull back from it.

Don't hold your breath. They've not replied to this thread at all, and their answer a while back was for us (the consumer) to contact SmartLife and ask them to integrate Flic - as the developer you'd think they would actively reach out to smart companies and try and get them to do it, not leave it to us.
I fear I'm going to end up with a bunch of dumb buttons come the end of the month.

Or maybe the Flic Team will help us with a better solution ;)

Yeah I noticed that too Alex, but will keep my fingers crossed.

Hi,
I just followed your steps and connected my new BrilliantSmart account to IFTTT. But I was struck by the URL used to do that, with emphasis on Tuya part:
https://pxy1.tuyaus.com/pl/?client_id=...
Since Tuya will drop support for IFTTT, I think that service based somehow on Tuya will follow it soon.
We will see. -

Hi all.
I think I've found a solution on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OGCvXrm18A
Basically means downloading another app and resetting your devices to link through the app (Brilliant Smart) which uses the SmartLife framework, but has IFTTT integration.
Hope it helps everyone.

I wish I could replace all of my plugs but have numerous inline smart switches that all use SmartLife and Flic buttons.
It's moments like this I regret making my home smart.

I am fortunate to have a Philips Hue hub so I have replaced my Smart Life plugs with Innr which is hue-compatible and not too pricey

Oh yes - critical now with the IFTTT/Smartlife breakup
Does anyone know a workaround?
