Amazon Alexa support for smart home
Pair the flic using Bluetooth as an “amazon Alexa Gadget” (Bluetooth button) you could then be able to assign smart home routines to a button click so pushing a single button would turn off a number of items for bed, or set the lights and tv for movie night all at a single button press
per Michael's comment - I am currently using the Echo Button for this purpose, but you are right on - it is large and ugly, and actually requires a pretty good "push" to work, not like the simple click of a Flic. But for now it is the only option I know of. I use it as a "panic" button for my girlfriend when I am away - one push and it turns on every interior and exterior light in the house.
Amazon has something that will currently do this, the Echo Button, but it is very large and ugly. It pairs via bluetooth to a nearby dot, spot, etc.. I was looking to connect the Flic the same way but customize a blank wall plate to give it a custom installed look, instead of a tabletop solution.
It would be better if communications with Amazon Alexa were performed using WiFi rather than the limited Bluetooth - the Flic Hub can already controlled both Bluetooth and WiFi devices.
An Alexa skill would be the best option - a Flic skill.
This would be a great idea. Easy to use Bluetooth and pair with an Alexa device. You might create a Flic Skill that could help with this as well.

Hi ben, does your phone still need to be in range to do this or does alexa function as the bluetooth connected device (replacing the phone)?
