  1. Amazon Alexa support for smart home

Pair the flic using Bluetooth as an “amazon Alexa Gadget” (Bluetooth button) you could then be able to assign smart home routines to a button click so pushing a single button would turn off a number of items for bed, or set the lights and tv for movie night all at a single button press

  2. Migrate phone actions to Flic Hub

I will shortly receive my new Flic Hub, but am dreading the fact that I have to now set up all my buttons again and re-create all of the actions against those buttons.

Can I not just transfer all my current buttons configured on my phone and their associated actions directly to the Hub without having to go through the add button to hub setup that seems to be suggested on your how to set up your Hub video?

Hi! This has been debated in the team a lot, and for now, we haven’t implemented it for one main reason: most actions people use on their phones are phone-specific, such as sending a text message, sharing location, etc. Therefore we can’t switch them over to the hub.
On the other hand, all functions that are shared between the phone and the hub could be transferred, and we’re thinking of a way to make this migration simple.
For now, unfortunately, you’ll have to transfer all your Flics manually. Thanks for the feedback, we’ll consider this idea and keep you updated :)

  3. Start Google assistant with Flic

Open Google app and start listening. I would use this in the car very often

  4. Make a Flic app for Apple TV

I have a habit of closing down iphone apps to save battery. But since the Flic app have to run for the buttons to work properly, the Flic app should be converted for the new Apple TV that has a app store. It shouldn't be too hard.

Hi everyone! We’re going to mark this idea as “under review” since the Flic Hub (http://bit.ly/flichub) is in process and that will allow you to use your Flics without a phone, and program them via wifi/ethernet.
It’s not the exact idea all of you are asking for in the comments but we believe it solves the main issue everyone agrees on: using Flics without your phone.
We’re sure the Flic Hub will solve a lot of things for you! But we’ll leave this topic open in case anyone wants to discuss it further.

  6. Google home

  8. Integration with Homey (athom.com) for home automation purposes.

Homey is an awesome new home automation controller with an insane amount of supported protocols (z-wave, zigbee, wifi, IR, etc etc) which could benefit from integration with a device like this.

  9. Time-aware Flic app

Add an extra step into the Flic app to define up to 4 times ranges per button prior to choosing your click types and attached actions.

    Workflow as follows:
Select Flic in app > Select time range to define (default 00:00 to 23:59) > Select Click type
This action will now activate on click type within the specified time range.

    Here's a working example:
I have Philips Hue lights in my room, one in my main globe socket, and a light either side of the bed.
With a single flic button by my bedroom door, and with an implementation of…

  11. Have different uses for different times of the day/week or even different places.

I would like to use one Flic to be configured differently depending on when or where it is used. Imagine even the same Flic for different circumstances or places e.g. in the car driving vs at home vs at work.

  12. Flic + Voice recorder

    Flic of the wrist!
Can always think of tricky situations in public or at work where you can't take your phone out that you want to record audio such as college lecture, meeting, audio note or potentially litigious conversation (hopefully not).
With flic you could be ready for those moments! Use the clip to attach it to the inside of your cuff, watch or bracelet and with one press it records and with two it stops. Would also work great with IFTT (Which everyone should vote for!) to save audio recordings to the cloud storage when finished.

Voice recorder does work on the devices we have tried although it’s admittedly not very user friendly. When you start voice recording for the first time, it starts recording. When you execute the action a second time, it stops. The audio files are stored in your device memory (device Storage) in the folder Flic/Audio. We will look into how we can make the Action more intuitive, suggestions are very welcome!

  13. Support for onsong

It’s great to see Flic support for music page turners, but I believe that the number one app of this type is ONSONG which is capable of much more

  14. Make a friendlier way of choosing colour for LIFX lights

The sliders are pretty hard to use to pick a nice colour. I thought I chose a nice white light colour only to turn on my lights and it be very yellow. It would be good if we could have "whites" and "colours" like the LIFX app has. As a starter maybe we could view what (numeric) value the sliders are set to so we can set it to a value we know is nice instead of taking a guess at slider positions.

  15. Control the Apple TV

So that it can be turned off, play/paused, etc.
For example my Flic is next to my bed, and my TV is on the other side of the room. The Flic could be used to power on/off (toggle), play/pause, fast forward, rewind, and go back (menu).

This would be great because then the remote could just be used to select a movie, then the Flic could just be held in the palm of the hand so that the remote could be left aside.

  17. Make the flic app compatible with Android TV

So I can install it on my Nvidia Shield console (which is always on anyway). That way I don't have to use my phone!

  18. Spotify Add to Favorites Button

In new cars, you have the buttons on your steering wheel to change tracks or increase volume to media playing from your Mp3 player or Phone. However, when you listen to something like Pandora or Spotify, and you want to FAVORITE or LIKE the song, there's no safe way to do it without picking up the phone while driving, which is dangerous. I would love for the FLIC to be able to be pressed to add the song currently playing to the Spotify Playlist OR for Pandora to "LIKE' it.
