Try the Global Music Control function!
It would be nice to trigger actions in the form of queries HTTP / HTTPS box to home automation, web server, etc ...
I have a home automation box and I can:
- Make it speak by: http: //ip_address:8080/sarah/speaks="Hello the World !!!"?
- Turn on the blue light: http://ip_address:8080/sarah/milight?status=ON&color=blue
- Turn on the television: http://ip_address:8080/sarah/TV?status=ON
In doing be able to control all devices that support the applications HTTP / HTTPS.
Make an API in Node.js
This can be done with the HTTP Request and the Internet Request functions in the Flic Apps.
Would allow for connection to smart devices, changing of music or youtube, and other things while in the bath.41 votes
We rate our buttons to IP44 standard which officially classifies them as splashproof. They are not fully waterproof and we do not recommend using them in environments where the button could be fully submerged or sprayed with water for more than 10 mins. However using it with wet hands, or just light splashing of water will not affect the button, so you could place them on the wall in the bath/shower :)
Now I have to select a color and brightness, while I have already done that by 'scenes' in the Philips hue app. I want to get the possibility to select those scenes and connect those with Flic40 votes
Hey, HUE scenes are now available in the Android App and will be coming to iOS soon :)
Make Flic able to do standart POST/GET and maybe even REST api calls... in this way, you will be able to do REALLY anything with Flic!
Post your location? Done!
Open your door? Easy!
Share a post on Facebook? You name it!
In this way, Flic will become REALLY an open platform, users from all around the world will be able to do ANYTHING with it, not just what the devs conceived!40 votes
Completed since long!
Start and stop video or photo recording on a GoPro Camera while it is in it's water tight housing. Fumbling for the buttons on the water tight case can be a bit tricky, especially when wearing gloves while skiing or diving. And messing around with the iOS or Android App can be cumbersome if you just need a quick shot. But pressing a Flic would be super easy!40 votes
I would like to press the button and Initiate google now or siri on and android or ios device respectively. This would be especially useful while driving or while wearing a bluetooth headset.40 votes
Answer or pick up a call.
One button, mute music, wait 1 sec and then answer an incoming call. Very useful when working from home (or office where you can have music on) so you don't have to fumble with music control and phone. Could also mute sound on TV so you can have the ballgame on while working.39 votes
At the moment, there’s no feasible way to implement this due to Android and iOS restrictions!
Pair the flic using Bluetooth as an “amazon Alexa Gadget” (Bluetooth button) you could then be able to assign smart home routines to a button click so pushing a single button would turn off a number of items for bed, or set the lights and tv for movie night all at a single button press38 votes
Crawl into bed, flic the Flic to simultaneously turn off or dim all lights, shut garage door, lock all doors, set Nest to nighttime temp, start Dropcam recording ... maybe even text a loved one a goodnight kiss.38 votes
Make it easier for people to find them in the dark.36 votes
Use Flic to say that everything is OK and have Flic perform an action if it's not.
Send a warning if you forgot to take your pills, notify your personal trainer if you're slacking off or publish your secret wikileaks data if kidnapped by evilcorp.
The possibilities are endless.35 votes
This can be done on Android, but iOS would not let us do that.
It would be nice to get an delay option for the hue lights. For example: click at the flic turns some lights on and 5 minutes after the click my lights go off!34 votes
Hi! This is possible with the Android Flic app! :) Here’s how to do it: When configuring the “click” you should add your first action, which is turning on the light. Then you can “chain” another action after that to turn off the light.
The important thing is to delay this action by clicking the little clock icon at the top and setting the time you’d like.
For iOS at the moment this isn’t possible, unfortunately.
I suggest you finally deliver the flics to your early kickstarter backers. Ordered november 2014. After one year still no delivery.
That should be your NUMBER 1 priority34 votes
I would love to be able to mute, raise and lower volume with a flic. I would put one on the wall of each room so I could quickly adjust the volume or mute if the phone rings or I don't have my phone handy to open the Sonos app. If this was an option, I would definitely buy some flics. Is there a way to find out if this is possible?33 votes
No matter if you are coming from the office, or from the mall this is one of the biggest problems if you don´t have any time : Where is my car. No Problem. Just press the flic and the App will guide via map to your car.
It could also be a solution that if you press the flic that your car honks so you can hear your way to your car.33 votes
Flic activates Shazam which then ID's the music playing without you having to get your phone out, unlock, launch Shazam and hit listen - by which time the song you want to ID has changed33 votes
- Don't see your idea?
